State of TikTok LIVE in MENA
The annual Black Ads Agency report on TikTok LIVE across the Middle East and North Africa. Audience size, gifting density, peak windows, country-by-country breakdown, and the structural reasons MENA remains the highest-yield TikTok LIVE region per concurrent viewer.
In one sentence
MENA hosts more than 260 million TikTok users on near-universal mobile penetration, with gifting concentrated in the GCC, Ramadan acting as a 2.4× monthly multiplier, and Maghrebi diaspora creators driving outsized growth on FR+ and IT+ servers — per Black Ads Agency BlackOS aggregated data and DataReportal 2026.

Key findings — Four structural patterns.
Gifting concentrates in the GCC: Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates produce the highest diamond-per-viewer ratio in MENA. Premium gift purchases (Galaxy, Lion, TikTok Universe) cluster on Thursday and Friday nights, mapped to the regional weekend.
Ramadan is the single largest cycle: Internal Black Ads Agency data shows monthly diamond totals 2.4× baseline during Ramadan, driven by extended late-night LIVE windows after Iftar and gift-giving cultural reinforcement. The first and last 7 days of Ramadan are the heaviest.
Diaspora creators outperform on FR+ and IT+: Maghrebi creators broadcasting from France and Italy show higher average watch time per viewer than equivalent home-market peers, attributed to bilingual range and stronger feeder short-form distribution. This drives Black Ads Agency's diaspora specialization.
Mobile-first remains absolute: More than 95% of LIVE viewing in MENA happens on mobile (DataReportal). Creators producing in vertical-only formats with mobile-first chat-room design outperform creators who treat LIVE as a downscaled desktop format.

Methodology — How the report is built.
Public-source data is drawn from DataReportal Digital country reports, GSMA Intelligence mobile-penetration figures, Statista creator economy estimates, and TikTok Newsroom announcements. Each figure includes the source next to it.
Internal data is drawn from Black Ads Agency's BlackOS infrastructure, aggregated and anonymized at the server level — never per-creator identifiable. Peak-hour and seasonal-multiplier figures use 30-day rolling averages.
Diaspora flows are computed from server selection patterns and self-reported creator location during onboarding, cross-referenced with public diaspora population estimates from World Bank migration data.
