Sector report — 2026 edition
Private clinic websites in Dubai: what 1,334 scans actually show
We collected every private clinic visible on Dubai's public listings — 841 establishments — then extended the list through the official health-licence registry, which added 1,239 licensed clinics with a recorded website that no public listing surfaces. The 1,334 reachable websites were scanned on 20 published technical criteria, making this the largest edition in the series. This page is the full result: sector statistics, the named top 20 on observable facts, and what the averages mean for a clinic deciding where to invest.
Quick answer
Of 841 Dubai clinics found on public listings in October 2026, 62% showed no usable website; the official licence registry added 1,239 more licensed clinics that do have one. Across the 1,334 websites scanned, the average technical score is 61/100 (median 66). Booking paths hold up (75%); measurement and Arabic do not: only 21% carry a Meta pixel, 35% offer Arabic at all, and just 17% render it correctly right-to-left. Median mobile performance is 60% — below Google's 90% bar.
The sector in four numbers
- 62%
- of the 841 establishments found on public listings showed no usable website at all
- 61/100
- average technical score across the 1334 websites scanned (median 66)
- 60%
- median Lighthouse mobile performance score — Google flags anything under 90%
- 21%
- have a Meta pixel — the rest run (or will run) paid campaigns with no conversion feedback
Collection 2026-10-31, from public listings (OpenStreetMap + Google Maps) — a coverage of publicly listed establishments, not a census. 184 listed websites were unreachable at scan time.
Three findings that matter if you run a clinic
First: the clinics patients can actually find are the strong half. The listings-visible wave of this scan averaged 70/100; extending it to the full licensed base pulled the sector average down to 61 — the thousand-plus licensed clinics that appear on no public listing are, on average, markedly weaker online. A merely competent website already beats most of the licensed field, and being findable at all is the first competition.
Second: the sector takes bookings it cannot attribute. 75% of scanned clinics have an online booking or enquiry path, yet 79% have no Meta pixel and 52% no GA4. A clinic advertising on Instagram or Google without a pixel pays for clicks it cannot attribute, and Meta's own optimisation runs blind.
Third: Arabic is thinner than the visible market suggested. 65% of the licensed base has no Arabic version, and only 17% of all scanned sites render Arabic correctly right-to-left — roughly one in six, in a city where Arabic-speaking patients are a core audience. The clinics that do both rank visibly higher in our table — partly because Arabic support carries weight in the score, mostly because the same teams that localise properly tend to build properly.
Every criterion, measured across the whole sector
Share of scanned websites passing each check. Where a check could not be taken on a site, that site is excluded from the base — the measured column shows the real base per criterion.

Technical measurements of public websites, collected 2026-10-31 — a ranking of websites, not of anyone's services, prices or quality of care. "Perf." is the Lighthouse mobile performance score. Listed and want a re-scan, a correction or removal? One email: the next build honours it.
What this ranking is — and is not
The table above ranks websites, not businesses. Every column is a publicly observable technical fact — page speed, HTTPS, Arabic support, booking paths, measurement tooling — collected by the same scanner, with the same weights, on the same dates, across the entire sector. We make no judgement about anyone's services, prices or quality of care, and a high or low position says nothing about either.
Everything outside the top 20 is anonymised into the sector statistics on this page. Where a measurement could not be taken, we say so rather than estimate it. The full criteria list, weights and scanning rules are public on the methodology page, and any listed business can request a free re-scan, a correction or removal from the named table — we honour all three in the next build.
What the sector builds on
| Platform | Sites | Share of scanned |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress | 815 | 61% |
| Not identifiable from the page | 308 | 23% |
| Next.js | 84 | 6% |
| Wix | 39 | 3% |
| Shopify | 17 | 1% |
| Webflow | 17 | 1% |
Detected from public page signatures (generator tags, asset paths). A custom or hardened build shows as not identifiable — that is not a defect.

Frequently asked questions
Twenty public criteria with published weights — speed, HTTPS, mobile, Arabic support, contact and booking paths, WhatsApp, analytics, ad pixels, structured data, freshness — measured by the same scanner across the whole sector. The methodology page lists every criterion and its weight.

The collection covers establishments visible on public listings (OpenStreetMap and Google Maps) in October 2026 with a working website on file. If your listing had no website — true for a large share of the sector — there was nothing to scan. The free audit works on any URL regardless.
Yes — the scan re-runs periodically and each edition states its collection date. Scores move only when the underlying measurements move.
Legally no — commercially it is a reach decision. 65% of the sector has no Arabic version, so the clinics that localise properly compete for Arabic-language search and AI answers against a fraction of their market. Health advertising content itself must follow DHA rules in any language.
The first edition scanned the 261 clinic websites visible on public listings. This edition adds the official licence registry — 1,239 more licensed Dubai clinics with a recorded website — and those less visible sites score lower on average. Same criteria, same weights, broader coverage; duplicates across the two sources are counted once.
